Say Hello to TaU 2.0!

Hello and thanks for coming!

Three weeks ago, I posted over at Thorough and Unkempt (v1.0) that something big is coming. Today, I can proudly say that it’s here. With the help and blessings of my friend Nishant Vora, I bought a domain and set up my very own website. [Widget_Twitter id=”1″] is the new home of all my posts, pictures, video, etc. I will be making any and all updates to the blog here. Subsequently, I am closing my blog down. 🙁

There is still a lot of design work I have to do, and I will probably revamp my entire homepage again in the next couple of days, but for now, you can get a summary of everything here – Home.

It has been great fun the last 3 days, where I have furiously coded all the aspects of the home page, and a bunch of things here in the blog portion too, such as a brand new Library! ( <– Seriously, click this first and come back here after you’ve seen it.) It looks cool as ish, but there’s still some functionality I have to code in, like a Search Box, and Category/Tag View.

As with all new beginnings, I like to make a bunch of rules (which I mostly end up giving up because they get tiresome, but sometimes they stick). So with this too, I will make a couple of rules so that you can get better and timely content.

  1. All content will be posted on Mondays and Fridays only. If I write anything else in the meantime, it’ll be scheduled for a Monday or a Friday.
  2. Something WILL come every Monday and Friday. Usually, I’ll reserve a large or pure text-based item, like an essay, for Mondays, and other content or shorter text items for Fridays.
  3. Multimedia content, drawings I’ve done, food I’ve cooked and recipes I’ve tried, among other things, will find a larger place in the new TaU.

Also, I’ve revamped the categories, and cleaned up the commenting system. Again, there is some work to be done, but it should be pretty functional now. Try leaving a comment now, and give me feedback on it. No seriously, stop reading, and try commenting right now and tell me if it’s easy/functional, if you liked the homepage, and if you liked the library (!!).

So far, so good. I think I covered everything I had to say for now. Oh yeah, I now have a new Instagram where I share food I’ve cooked. It’s all my own food, and I’ve been asked to put out recipes and blog about the cooking experiences, so look forward to that if that’s your thing.
